South Korea's National Police Agency has closed its fourth 2025 bidding round to hire a private custodian for cryptocurrency seized in criminal cases, under a 267 million won ($179,000) one-year contract. Dunamu (Upbit's operator) and at least six other firms submitted proposals as the agency raised the budget from 83 million won and tightened requirements such as cold storage, 24/7 response, and full liability for losses.
