Thailand Sets Final Rules for Bitcoin, Ether ETFs, Effective Oct. 16
Thailand's securities regulator published 11 notifications on Oct. 8, finalizing the regulatory framework for spot bitcoin and ether ETFs. The rules take effect Oct. 16. Qualifying funds must be passively managed and, in each fiscal year, hold an average net exposure of at least 80% of net asset value in a single crypto asset. As of Oct. 9, no ETF sponsors or tickers had been disclosed, and the timing of any product listing remains undecided. The framework covers only bitcoin and ether.
