Malta has opened a public consultation on a proposed legal framework for decentralized autonomous organizations (DAOs) and decentralized finance projects under the EU's Markets in Crypto-Assets Regulation (MiCA). The Malta Financial Services Authority launched the consultation on June 12 and said it will run until July 10, with a proposal that would introduce a new category of "software-based organizations."
