Franklin Templeton files for two ETFs that reinvest stock dividends into bitcoin
Franklin Templeton filed for two exchange-traded funds that would use dividends from U.S. equities to buy bitcoin exposure. The proposed funds target a 95% allocation to U.S. stocks and 5% to bitcoin, with dividends reinvested via bitcoin ETFs, futures or other instruments. If approved, the ETFs could begin trading as early as September. The move comes as U.S. spot bitcoin ETFs have attracted more than $53 billion since launching in 2024, according to SoSoValue data.
