Spot XRP ETF Inflows Reach Record $1.55B as XRP Rebounds
AI Market Summary
US spot XRP ETFs recorded their strongest week in over three months, lifting cumulative net inflows to a record $1.55B and signaling renewed institutional demand after a quiet start to August. Concentrated inflows across Bitwise, Canary, and Franklin Templeton suggest the buyer base is broadening within regulated vehicles. The timing alongside a sharp XRP rebound and wider altcoin strength increases the likelihood of higher near-term volatility and liquidity around XRP.

US spot XRP exchange-traded funds logged their strongest weekly inflows in more than three months, lifting cumulative net inflows to a record $1.55 billion as XRP prices rebounded sharply.
According to SoSoValue, the funds drew $39.78 million last week, the best weekly tally since mid-May. Buying momentum built into the close, with $13.24 million of inflows on Thursday and $18.38 million on Friday. Friday was the largest one-day inflow since May 14.
The pickup follows a slow start to August. Reports indicate seven of the first 11 trading sessions saw zero inflows before demand returned on Aug. 18.
Bitwise remains the largest contributor with roughly $542.7 million in cumulative inflows. Canary Capital has attracted about $468.1 million, and Franklin Templeton about $434.2 million. Together, the three managers account for most of the capital held in US spot XRP ETFs.
Institutional interest has been building since earlier this year. Grayscale research has suggested XRP ETFs could eventually absorb 5%–6% of circulating supply if adoption tracks a trajectory similar to Bitcoin and Ethereum funds, a dynamic that would grow more relevant as ETF holdings expand.
The renewed ETF demand coincided with one of XRP's strongest rallies of the year. After holding support near $1.00, XRP climbed about 70% in under 72 hours to $1.70, its highest level in seven months. The token then pulled back toward $1.42 before recovering to around $1.50, a notable shift from earlier in August when it traded for hours in a tight $1.008–$1.05 range.
The move came alongside a broader altcoin rebound. XRP gained nearly 40% during a market-wide surge as Bitcoin briefly topped $79,000 and several large-cap altcoins advanced more than 30%.
Longer-term, the XRP narrative continues to hinge on institutional participation. Ripple's expanding payments business and its estimated $50 billion valuation have reinforced expectations that regulated XRP products could draw more traditional capital. Technically, $1.65–$1.70 remains the key resistance zone; a sustained break would strengthen the breakout case, while another rejection could keep XRP below its seven-month high.
