SecondFi exploit could leave users facing more than $20 million in losses
ChainCatcher reported that Yu Xian, founder of blockchain security firm SlowMist, said he monitored the fallout from a recent security incident tied to SecondFi, a project in the Cardano ecosystem. He noted that while he is not deeply familiar with Cardano, if the addresses beginning with \u0022addr1q\u0022 are confirmed to be controlled by the attacker based on on-chain behavior, aggregate user losses may exceed $20 million. He estimated that more than 129 million ADA, along with other tokens, were taken.
SecondFi has previously stated that the incident impacted about 16 million ADA and traced the issue to its web wallet generation software.
