ColdCard users hit again as multi-wave theft tops 1,800 BTC

Odaily Planet Daily cited Onchain Lens monitoring showing another round of fund theft affecting ColdCard users. More than 5,200 addresses have reportedly been impacted, with total losses estimated at about 1,816 BTC, or roughly $114 million. The first three confirmed waves account for 1,367.05 BTC, valued at approximately $88.6 million. A fourth suspected wave following the same pattern involves 462 potential victims and adds another 388.93 BTC. Onchain Lens said it is mapping related address clusters using onchain data. The stolen funds have not been moved further so far. The cluster remains active, with the latest transaction logged minutes ago.
