Iron Fish Flags Abnormal wIRON Issuance on Base, Warns Users

Iron Fish said it is investigating an abnormal issuance of wIRON on Base and has asked cross-chain bridge provider ChainPort to conduct an urgent review. The project advised users to avoid buying wIRON on Base or using the related bridge until further notice. It also warned that it cannot currently guarantee wIRON is fully backed 1:1 by underlying assets, and said it will provide updates once more facts are verified.
