U.S. stock index futures tick up premarket as Palantir surges; tech and AI names boost Nasdaq
U.S. stock index futures traded modestly higher ahead of the opening bell on Tuesday, Aug. 4 (ET), led by gains in tech. Palantir Technologies jumped more than 16% in premarket trading after posting second-quarter results that beat expectations, lifting Nasdaq 100 futures about 0.9%. Semiconductor and AI-linked stocks also advanced, with Micron Technology up around 3% and Marvell Technology rising roughly 7%.
