RWA Market Cap Tops $71B After $23B Listing Boost; Meme Coins Slide 2.2%
AI Market Summary
CoinGecko's RWA market cap print above $71B largely reflects the listing/accounting inclusion of Figure Heloc's tokenized home-equity loan pool rather than broad-based demand, highlighting a value-versus-liquidity mismatch in tokenization. Meanwhile, major meme coins sold off on the day, underscoring a rotation toward higher-turnover speculative assets versus largely inactive RWA balances. Near-term focus shifts to data quality, float, and tradability in RWA benchmarks.

CoinGecko data show the real-world asset (RWA) sector's market capitalization jumping to $71.02 billion on Monday, up 48.7% in 24 hours. Over the same period, meme coins fell 2.2%.
The RWA total expanded by $23.26 billion in a single day, but the move was largely mechanical. The increase was driven almost entirely by one newly reflected asset: Figure Heloc, now the largest holding in the RWA category at $22.81 billion, representing about 32% of the sector.
Excluding Figure Heloc, Monday's RWA market cap would be $48.21 billion, compared with $47.75 billion the day before—a difference of about 0.96%. Price action across major RWA tokens did not match the headline surge: Chainlink (LINK) gained 0.8% on the day and Stellar (XLM) fell 3.3%. Figure Heloc itself was up 4.5% over the week.
Figure Heloc is a pool of home equity lines of credit issued by Figure, a Nevada-based lender, on its own Provenance blockchain. The company listed on Nasdaq in September 2025 and reported $191 million in earnings on $619 million of revenue over the past year. The scale of the tokenized loan book stands out: Figure's equity value is $8.66 billion, while the tokenized loans total $22.81 billion—roughly two and a half times the company's market value.
Despite its size, the token shows minimal trading activity. It recorded $14.9 million in turnover over 24 hours, around 0.065% of its market cap, and CoinGecko's dataset shows no 24-hour price change.
Tokenized equities remain a separate segment worth $8.25 billion. Their pricing largely tracks the underlying stocks. For example, MicroStrategy xStock (MSTRX) traded at $122.69 while Strategy's Nasdaq-listed shares were at $122.63. MSTRX gained 27.9% over seven days, mirroring the stock's move.
Meme coins moved in the opposite direction on Monday. Dogecoin (DOGE) fell 4.1%, Pump.fun (PUMP) dropped 7.9%, and Official Trump (TRUMP) slid 9.9%. The meme coin sector ended the day down 2.3% at $32.82 billion, with Shiba Inu (SHIB), Bonk (BONK) and FLOKI also closing lower.
Liquidity highlighted the contrast between the two categories. Meme coins traded 13.2% of their combined market cap in 24 hours. RWA tokens traded about 4%, while Figure Heloc traded just 0.065%. In effect, meme coins represent the smaller market that actively changes hands, while the larger RWA tally is dominated by assets that rarely trade.
Over a seven-day window, meme coins led on price performance: Official Trump gained 73.5%, Pump.fun rose 66.3%, and Pepe (PEPE) climbed 54.2%. RWA tokens were steadier, with Stellar up 22.1% and Chainlink up 21.9% over the same period. Trading also favored meme coins, with $4.35 billion in turnover versus $2.82 billion for RWA.
BeInCrypto Intelligence, reviewing tokenization activity, tracked roughly $60 billion across 7,000 products and found that much of it remains inactive on-chain. Monday's $23 billion rise in the RWA sector reflected the inclusion of something new, not a wave of fresh buying.
