Stablecoin issuer Circle has entered a partnership with Tereina, a financial services provider backed by German enterprise software group SAP, to embed USDC and EURC into SAP customers' enterprise payment processes, according to Odaily Planet Daily.
Companies running SAP financial software can now send and receive the two stablecoins directly within their existing SAP applications. USDC will be used for U.S. dollar-denominated transactions, while EURC will support euro-denominated payments. Tereina will supply the embedded payment infrastructure, allowing businesses to execute payments without moving to external financial platforms.
Circle and Tereina said they plan to pilot the stablecoin functionality with customers in the coming months, targeting global payments and treasury management use cases. SAP's ecosystem is estimated to touch 84% of global business activity.
The deal comes less than a month after Circle unveiled Arc, its first-layer blockchain designed for stablecoin payments and financial markets. Arc uses USDC for transaction fees and supports more than 20 fiat-backed stablecoins, including USDC and EURC. (Cointelegraph)
