Bitcoin Hits $80,000 After Midterms as $320M Shorts Liquidate

Bitcoin reached $80,000 on Wednesday after the midterm elections, triggering more than $320 million in short liquidations within 30 minutes. Ethereum rose 6%, XRP and Solana gained 4%, Cardano added 4.5% and Dogecoin climbed 3%. U.S. oil fell below $93 a barrel, while the Dow opened more than 1,100 points higher as markets added over $1 trillion in value.
