Keystone to Destroy 18,835 Hardware Wallets Over Compromised Authentication Key
Keystone will destroy 18,835 hardware wallets carrying a compromised authentication key embedded during manufacturing. The key cannot generate seed phrases or sign transactions, but could let attackers build counterfeit devices that pass authentication checks. Sales moved to preorder while new key production resumes. A breach also exposed data from 25,964 customers and 12,873 order records.
