Archer-Daniels-Midland (ADM) reported quarterly results that topped expectations. Adjusted earnings came in at $1.84 per share versus the Street's $1.44 forecast. Revenue reached $22.7 billion, ahead of estimates for $21.8 billion.
Total segment operating profit surged 75% year over year to $1.5 billion. The Ag Services & Oilseeds unit delivered operating profit of $867 million, up 129%, driven by stronger crushing margins, improved biofuels economics, and better supply-chain execution.
ADM also raised its full-year earnings outlook, setting guidance above the analyst consensus.
