Huo Xing Finance, citing SoSoValue data, said that as of 8:00 a.m. ET on Aug. 24, 2026, globally listed companies (excluding miners) recorded net weekly Bitcoin purchases of $81.48 million, up 1,431.6% from the prior week. Strategy made no Bitcoin trades over the week, but sold 18,261,118 shares of MSTR common stock, raising $2.007 billion. Japan-listed Metaplanet also reported no Bitcoin purchases, extending its streak to six straight weeks without adding to holdings. Two companies disclosed fresh Bitcoin buys. Asset manager Strive said on Aug. 24 it spent $81.48 million to acquire 1,110 BTC at an average price of $73,409, lifting its holdings to about 21,356 BTC. Ethereum-focused Bitmine said on Aug. 24 it bought 1 BTC, without disclosing the amount paid, bringing total holdings to 210 BTC. Separately, Boya Interactive said on Aug. 20 it purchased 108 BTC in Q2 2026 for $7.35 million at an average price of about $68,047, taking its Bitcoin holdings to 4,201 BTC as of June 30, 2026. At the time of publication, the companies covered by the survey collectively held 1,140,751 BTC, up 0.1% week over week. The position was valued at about $89.52 billion, equal to roughly 5.7% of Bitcoin's circulating market cap.
