Spot Ether ETFs Pull In $713M in a Week, Narrowing the Gap With Bitcoin ETFs' $884M
AI مارکیٹ کا خلاصہ
US spot ETH ETFs drew $713M in weekly inflows, the strongest in ~10 months and close to BTC ETFs' $884M, signaling broadening institutional demand beyond Bitcoin. BlackRock's ETHA led flows, while volumes across both ETF complexes more than tripled, reinforcing risk-on positioning. Ethereum spot ETFs in the US are starting to command more attention after spending much of the past year in Bitcoin's shadow. Over the last week, spot ETH ETFs drew $713 million in net inflows, coming close to the $884 million added to Bitcoin ETFs over the same period.
The $713 million tally is Ethereum funds' strongest weekly intake in about ten months, echoing the pace last seen around October 2025. Bitcoin ETFs also posted a sizable week, and together the two categories delivered one of the biggest combined weekly inflow totals since that October 2025 window.
BlackRock's iShares Ethereum Trust (ETHA) led ETH inflows. In mid-August, ETHA alone took in more than $122 million in a single day. On the Bitcoin side, BlackRock's iShares Bitcoin Trust (IBIT) captured the bulk of BTC inflows across several sessions.
Trading activity surged alongside the allocations, with volumes across both ETH and BTC ETF products more than tripling versus prior periods during the peak week.
Assets under management still highlight Bitcoin's lead: Bitcoin ETFs are now estimated at roughly $96 billion to $100 billion in total AUM, while Ethereum ETFs stand around $13 billion to $15 billion.
Two broader tailwinds appear to be supporting the move. Falling Treasury yields have pushed yield-focused investors to revisit risk positioning. The regulatory environment has also improved, making it easier for managers who were previously cautious to justify adding crypto exposure within balanced portfolios.
Price action aligned with the renewed demand. Bitcoin briefly moved toward $80,000, while Ethereum climbed above $2,500.
Earlier in 2026, both Bitcoin and Ethereum ETFs saw net outflows as macro uncertainty weighed on risk appetite. The August turn has been strong enough that some managers are framing it as a sentiment shift rather than a short-lived tactical rebound.
With ETH ETFs pulling in $713 million against Bitcoin's $884 million, some institutional buyers appear to be treating Ethereum as a core allocation instead of a small satellite position. The first phase of regulated crypto investing was largely a Bitcoin-only story; the next phase is shaping up as multi-asset, with Ethereum emerging as the clear second pillar.
