U.S. spot Bitcoin ETFs swung back into the black on Sept. 2, logging $101.1 million in net inflows after the group saw $236.5 million in net outflows the previous session, according to data cited by OnchainLens.
BlackRock's iShares Bitcoin Trust (IBIT) led the turnaround, pulling in $115.4 million—more than the category's total net inflow for the day—effectively offsetting redemptions elsewhere. Grayscale's Bitcoin Trust (GBTC) continued to weigh on flows, posting $56.2 million in net outflows and extending its long-running redemption streak.
Based on the headline total, ETFs outside IBIT and GBTC contributed an estimated $41.9 million of net inflows combined. Reported beneficiaries included Grayscale's mini trust, Morgan Stanley's MSBT, and Bitwise's BITB, though verified figures beyond IBIT and GBTC were not provided.
IBIT's $115.4 million intake represented 114.1% of the day's net inflow for the group, underscoring how concentrated U.S. spot Bitcoin ETF activity remains. The latest move follows a similar pattern from the prior session, when IBIT accounted for 85.1% of the day's overall outflow. Across the two sessions, flows swung by $337.6 million, highlighting how quickly institutional positioning can shift.
The rebound came as risk appetite improved after remarks from Federal Reserve Governor Christopher Waller were seen as easing concerns about further aggressive tightening. Bitcoin rose back above $80,000 alongside the pickup in ETF inflows. No issuer or regulator statements were available at the time of publication.
At the time of writing, Bitcoin traded at $80,751, up 3.60% over the past 24 hours, with a market capitalization of about $1.62 trillion and 24-hour trading volume of $40.40 billion.
