Spot Bitcoin and Ether ETFs Log Ninth Straight Day of Inflows, Pulling In $242M and $235M
AI مارکیٹ کا خلاصہ
U.S. spot Bitcoin ETFs logged $242.3M net inflows on Aug. 27, extending a nine-session streak, while spot Ethereum ETFs added $235M for a matching run. Large contributions from BlackRock-linked products and a $2.3B combined weekly intake highlight sustained institutional demand across both majors rather than rotation. Continued ETF buying can tighten liquid spot supply and supports broader crypto risk appetite, with smaller SOL and HYPE ETF inflows reinforcing breadth.

U.S. spot Bitcoin ETFs took in $242.30 million of net inflows on Aug. 27, extending their buying streak to nine consecutive trading days. Spot Ethereum ETFs posted a similar result, adding $235 million and notching their own ninth straight inflow session.
The synchronized run follows a period of strong institutional demand. On Aug. 24, BlackRock's iShares Bitcoin Trust (IBIT) accounted for $209 million of the day's $338 million total net inflow into Bitcoin ETFs. BlackRock's Ethereum fund, ETHA, brought in $90.92 million out of that day's $116 million for Ethereum ETFs.
Bitcoin was trading near $80,000 on Thursday, up 2.12% over the past 24 hours. Ether hovered around $2,480 over the same period. Total net assets held by spot Bitcoin ETFs reached $79.16 billion, while category-wide trading volume totaled $8.23 billion, according to CoinGlass.
Last week marked the strongest combined week for the two ETF categories since October, with $2.3 billion in net inflows across Bitcoin and Ethereum products. The pattern points to institutions building exposure to both assets rather than rotating from one to the other. The current streak began on Aug. 17, reached four consecutive days by Aug. 20, and has continued through Aug. 27.
Smaller crypto ETF segments also attracted fresh capital on Aug. 27. Spot Solana (SOL) ETFs added $60.91 million, and spot Hyperliquid (HYPE) ETFs brought in $24.42 million. While these funds remain far smaller than Bitcoin and Ethereum in scale, the same-day inflows suggest institutional interest is broadening beyond the two largest crypto assets.
Sustained ETF demand can have implications beyond daily flow headlines. Consistent inflows can tighten available supply on spot exchanges, a dynamic that has historically supported prices during accumulation phases. Whether the bid remains in place into next week may hinge on whether Bitcoin and Ether can extend their recent gains.
