Sui Network Posts 40.6 Million TPS in Singapore Stress Test as SUI Slides
AI مارکیٹ کا خلاصہ
Sui reported a live stress-test throughput of 40.6M TPS using "Sui tunnels" (offchain channels with onchain settlement), independently verified by CertiK, highlighting scalability progress. However, SUI fell about 6% on the day and remains under nearby resistance, implying the milestone did not translate into immediate risk appetite. A separate Alibaba Cloud collaboration on AI-agent payments adds longer-term ecosystem relevance but lacks timeline details.

SUI extended its pullback even as the Sui network set a new throughput milestone, hitting 40,614,180 transactions per second (TPS) during a live stress test.
The token traded around $1.12, down 6.5% over the past 24 hours. SUI slipped from roughly $1.20 and later stabilized near $1.14, but the rebound failed to retake the $1.15 area.
Market focus remains on the $1.10–$1.12 zone. Analyst 0xSweep flagged $1.10 as a key support level, adding that holding it could open the door to a move back toward May highs. For now, SUI remains capped below the $1.14–$1.15 recovery band, with additional resistance seen near $1.16–$1.17 and then $1.18–$1.20. If $1.11–$1.12 gives way, price action could revisit $1.10.
Over longer windows, SUI is up 10% over 14 days and 38.3% over 30 days, but remains 68.9% lower year over year.
The stress test took place at Sui Basecamp in Singapore on October 7, 2026. The 40.6 million TPS figure exceeded the network’s previously stated 20 million TPS goal and topped its prior record of more than 6 million TPS set on July 4.
The demonstration relied on “Sui tunnels,” a mechanism introduced during the July 4 record-setting livestream. Tunnels use programmable offchain state and payment channels to process activity offchain, then settle to the Sui mainnet when participants close the channel. Each closure is mutually cosigned by participants and remains independently verifiable onchain, combining offchain throughput with onchain settlement and verification.
Sui said the setup was tailored to applications involving AI agents and machine commerce. Attendees accessed a dedicated explorer during the event, with more than 10,000 tunnels opened across categories including chat, games, and payments. CertiK verified the 40,614,180 TPS result in real time. The demonstration was led by Adeniyi Abiodun, Mysten Labs’ Chief Product Officer and co-founder.
Separately, Sui also announced a collaboration with Alibaba Cloud aimed at enabling AI agents to pay for cloud services. Under the proposed model, an agent would receive a defined budget and spend within that allocation without needing approval for each transaction. The companies did not disclose a launch date, pricing, or which Alibaba Cloud services would initially support the approach.
At the time of the announcement, traders continued to watch the $1.10 support area as SUI hovered near $1.12.
