Strive disclosed it purchased 1,110 bitcoin for roughly $81.5 million, increasing its corporate holdings to 21,356 BTC as of Aug. 21. The company said it paid an average of $73,409 per coin between Aug. 17 and Aug. 21, with the figure including fees and related expenses. Bitcoin was trading close to the $80,000 level on Monday after rising nearly 25% over the prior week. The rebound helped push Strive's latest accumulation higher in value as the company continued to center its treasury strategy on bitcoin. The purchase was detailed in an Aug. 24 Form 8-K filed with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission. Strive's position rose from 20,246 BTC on Aug. 14 to 21,356 BTC on Aug. 21, a gain of about 5.5% in one week. Bitcoin Treasuries data places Strive seventh among public companies by bitcoin holdings. Strategy leads the list with 840,447 BTC, and several other listed companies also report balances above 20,000 BTC. Strive also reported higher liquidity. Cash and cash equivalents totaled $171.9 million as of Aug. 21, up from $154.8 million a week earlier. The fair value of its 505,000 shares of Strategy's STRC preferred stock rose to $48.57 million from $47.86 million; the share count was unchanged, implying an increase of about $707,000 in market value. The filing reflected changes in Strive's capital structure. Class A common shares outstanding increased by 3.65 million to 79.89 million, while SATA preferred shares outstanding rose by 441,313 to 8.27 million. Class B common shares held steady at 9.79 million. Effective common shares outstanding climbed to 89.68 million from 86.04 million the prior week. ASST shares extended their recent run on Monday, finishing near $19.73 after gaining more than 8%. The stock closed Friday at $18.22 after a 12.96% jump on volume of about 14.98 million shares, and it also advanced on Aug. 19 and Aug. 20. SATA, Strive's variable-rate perpetual preferred stock, ended Friday around its $100 par value. Market data showed SATA at $100.01 at the Aug. 21 close. Strive lists ASST common shares and SATA preferred shares on Nasdaq. The company began paying SATA dividends every business day in June and had made 44 consecutive daily payments by Aug. 7. In crypto markets, BTC ended the week at $77,387, up $14,264, or 22.7%, over seven days. On Monday, bitcoin traded around $78,880, remaining within reach of $80,000 after briefly moving above that level during the rally. After the sharp move higher, short-term trading has tightened. Chart levels cited in recent data place resistance around $80,700 to $82,700, while the $72,000 to $74,400 area sits below as a previously reclaimed zone.
