Nearly 29% of Staked SOL Went Offline After Teraswitch Routing Failure, Brushing Against Solana Finality Halt Threshold
AI مارکیٹ کا خلاصہ
A Teraswitch routing failure pushed 28.83% of staked SOL offline, nearing Solana's ~33.34% finality-halt threshold, exposing material operational and concentration risk. Roughly 90 validators were impacted, with one ASN concentrating ~27.34% of stake and going largely offline simultaneously. Although service recovered in ~33 minutes, the episode may raise risk premia around Solana uptime, validator diversification, and staking infrastructure resilience.

Marinade Finance reported that 28.83% of staked SOL went offline earlier today following a routing failure at infrastructure provider Teraswitch, bringing the network close to the 33.34% threshold that would prevent Solana from finalizing transactions.
The disruption impacted about 90 validators. AS20326 alone hosted 118.9 million SOL, representing 27.34% of total network stake, and 94% of that stake went offline at the same time.
Network traffic recovered after roughly 33 minutes. Marinade estimated affected validators forfeited around 333 SOL in rewards. The firm said the episode underscored concentration risks across ASNs, data centers and validator failover infrastructure, and it plans to review its concentration limits.
