Shinhan Financial Group said it has entered a strategic cooperation agreement with Visa Group to jointly develop digital-asset initiatives and next-generation financial services, according to ME News on Aug. 26 (UTC+8). Under the partnership, Shinhan plans to use Visa's stablecoin platform to test key capabilities, including stablecoin issuance, transfers and redemptions. The two sides will also work on business models tailored to South Korea's regulatory requirements and local market conditions.
