Sei Network (@SeiNetwork) has rolled out v6.6 on mainnet as of block 224,201,091, marking its biggest protocol upgrade since EVM support launched in May 2024. The release aggregates nearly 400 pull requests and introduces the first mainnet pieces of Sei Giga. According to @Sei_Labs, the newly added hybrid executor is now the default execution path and delivers roughly 10x throughput. The upgrade also starts carving out roughly two years of EVM history into a separate database, fixes more than 30 security issues covering DoS vectors and supply-chain hardening, and improves validator operations through faster pruning and adjusted consensus timing. The long-awaited Giga rollout for $SEI holders is now underway.
