Revenue Family accused of draining USDG via malicious permits, funds split 80/20 across two addresses

AI مارکیٹ کا خلاصہ
Salus reported an alleged malicious-approval exploit tied to Revenue Family, where users were tricked into signing permit messages that enabled unlimited USDG allowances and same-transaction transferFrom drains, with proceeds split 80/20 across two addresses. The incident reinforces ongoing wallet-permission and social-engineering risks in DeFi, likely pressuring near-term risk appetite and increasing scrutiny of bridge-related claims and token legitimacy.

ME News reported that on Oct. 5 (UTC+8), Salus monitoring flagged suspected malicious authorization activity tied to Revenue Family, a project that has promoted itself as the withdrawal bridge for X Money. Investigators said attackers induced users to sign permit messages, effectively granting unlimited USDG allowances, then emptied wallets by invoking transferFrom within the same transaction. The stolen assets were then distributed in an 80/20 split to two hacker-controlled addresses. Revenue Family previously said on Oct. 1 that its social media accounts had been taken over by internal reviewers, that it had halted exchange activity, and that REV is not an official token.
