Revolut valuation hits $115 billion, cementing its position as Europe's most valuable startup
AI مارکیٹ کا خلاصہ
Revolut's reported $115B private valuation and strong profit growth highlight continued investor appetite for scaled fintech platforms in Europe. However, lower revenue per customer versus incumbents, limited lending penetration, and ongoing regulatory/operational risks (AML fine, data breach) temper the signal for broader markets. The news is most relevant to private fintech sentiment rather than liquid public assets, with limited near-term cross-asset impact.

Revolut has become Europe's most valuable startup, with a private valuation of $115 billion, Reuters reported. The figure puts the fintech ahead of the UK's Barclays and France's Société Générale.
The company posted a 2025 pretax profit of £1.7 billion (about $2.2 billion), underscoring strong year-on-year growth. Revolut now serves 80 million customers and is pushing into new markets including Mexico and Australia, alongside efforts to secure additional licenses.
Challenges remain. Analysts point to revenue per customer that lags traditional banks, and a still-limited lending business: Revolut's loan-to-deposit ratio stands at 6%, well below HSBC's 55%. The company also faces stiff competition in the U.S. market. Separately, Revolut was previously fined in Lithuania over anti-money laundering violations and has recently suffered a customer data breach.
Analysts say boosting adoption of core accounts and scaling lending are set to be Revolut's main priorities in its next phase of growth.
