Wu Blockchain: Wells Fargo Said to Be in Talks With Kraken Parent Payward on Crypto Trading Liquidity
AI مارکیٹ کا خلاصہ
Reported talks between Wells Fargo and Kraken's parent Payward on providing crypto trading liquidity, alongside Payward's parallel discussions with BNY on broader infrastructure, reinforce the trend of major banks partnering with established crypto firms. Even if non-binding, the news signals improving institutional engagement and market-structure maturation, which can support near-term risk appetite and liquidity conditions across major crypto assets.

Wells Fargo, the fourth-largest bank in the U.S., is in discussions with Payward—the parent company of crypto exchange Kraken—about a possible arrangement in which Payward would provide liquidity for crypto-asset trading, CoinDesk reported, citing two people with direct knowledge of the matter.
The talks are ongoing and may not lead to an agreement.
Separately, Payward is also in talks with BNY on a broader financial-infrastructure partnership that could span crypto products, custody, wealth management, trading and payments.
The negotiations underscore how large banks are increasingly leaning on established crypto firms to advance their digital-asset strategies.
