Kylie Jenner's X Account Briefly Pushes Solana Token, Posts Later Deleted
AI مارکیٹ کا خلاصہ
Kylie Jenner's verified X account reportedly promoted then deleted a Pump.fun Solana memecoin address, consistent with recent celebrity-account compromise playbooks. The token's market cap briefly spiked to ~$1.21m before collapsing >90% after the posts were removed, underscoring fraud risk and reflexive liquidity shocks in Solana's memecoin pipeline. Near term, this can pressure sentiment around SOL-linked retail flows and Pump.fun activity.

Kylie Jenner's verified X account, followed by about 39.5 million users, briefly promoted a Solana memecoin launched via Pump.fun before the posts were deleted.
The token tied to the now-removed promotion surged to a $1.21 million market capitalization, then slid to below $120,000, a decline of more than 90%. Onchain trackers and community members quickly flagged the posts as a likely account compromise rather than an authentic endorsement.
The deleted messages pointed users to a Pump.fun page using the handle "cutekjenner" and included a Solana contract address: 6b7KQsXqb6JR5Nmeer5zGRmo51dwDfttM5b5Nu2rpump. Both the handle and contract address disappeared from the account shortly after publication.
Onchain activity shows the token launched on Pump.fun, Solana's leading memecoin launchpad. Buying intensified within minutes of the posts going live, lifting the market cap to an all-time high of $1.21 million. After the posts were removed, selling accelerated and the market cap dropped below $120,000.
The episode fits a pattern seen throughout 2024 and into 2025: attackers gain access to high-profile verified X accounts, publish a Solana token address or Pump.fun link, ride follower FOMO-driven demand, and sell into the spike before the wider market realizes the account holder was not involved.
Users cited multiple red flags, including a tone inconsistent with Jenner's typical posts, an abrupt timing, and rapid deletion that suggested either the account owner regained control or the attacker exited after extracting value.
As of the immediate aftermath, neither Kylie Jenner nor her representatives had issued a public statement.
Pump.fun has become a common venue for these schemes due to its low-friction token creation process. Tokens can be launched in seconds with no vetting, making it easy to pair a compromised celebrity post with a newly minted low-liquidity asset. Even a small fraction of a 39.5 million-follower audience can generate enough buy pressure to create a sharp, short-lived price spike, enabling an attacker who accumulated tokens beforehand to sell into the rally. On Solana, negligible transaction fees can further amplify the potential payout when a token briefly reaches a $1.21 million market cap.
