Goldman Sachs' reported positioning in spot XRP exchange-traded funds is back in the spotlight as XRP turns in its strongest week in roughly two years.
Market analyst Xaif Crypto said Goldman disclosed $86.5 million in exposure across five spot XRP ETFs in its Q2 2026 13F filing. Based on subsequent ETF gains, the stake is now estimated at about $113.7 million, up roughly 31% from the value shown at the filing date.
The increase does not necessarily indicate fresh buying. A 13F reflects holdings at a specific point in time, and the market value of existing positions can rise when the underlying assets appreciate. Even so, the disclosure signals meaningful exposure to regulated XRP investment products as institutional participation in crypto expands, with Morgan Stanley recently making a similar filing.
XRP has led the latest rally among major coins. Xaif Crypto cited weekly gains of:
XRP: +45.57%
ETH: +33.63%
DOGE: +30.74%
SOL: +24.31%
BTC: +24.28%
BNB: +12.98%
CoinCodex data cited in the report put XRP at $1.51, making its weekly return nearly 1.9 times Bitcoin's.
Beyond price action, attention is also shifting to tokenization. Banks and asset managers have been exploring tokenized stocks, Treasuries, funds and other real-world assets, drawing blockchain infrastructure closer to mainstream finance. October is being watched by XRP holders for signs of faster progress in tokenization and institutional blockchain initiatives.
Such a shift could elevate the XRP Ledger's profile, given its native asset, decentralized exchange, and a growing ecosystem for stablecoins and tokenized assets that could support the movement and settlement of digital assets. Whether these institutional pilots translate into meaningful commercial adoption remains uncertain.
Together, Goldman's ETF exposure and XRP's latest surge point to two forces moving in tandem: institutional positioning and strengthening market momentum. The $86.5 million figure reflects Goldman's reported Q2 holdings, while $113.7 million is an estimate of the current value after subsequent gains. If institutional exposure broadens, tokenization accelerates and XRP sustains its rally, the narrative could shift further from speculative trading toward adoption, liquidity and real-world blockchain utility.
