El Salvador's Bitcoin Payments Grind to a Near Halt as Everyday Use Fades

AI مارکیٹ کا خلاصہ
Reports from El Salvador suggest Bitcoin's real-world payments usage has weakened, with merchants seeing few BTC transactions as card payments dominate. The shift toward holding BTC as a store of value, price volatility, and post-IMF rule changes making acceptance voluntary all reduce transactional demand. Near-term, the news weighs on the payments/adoption narrative rather than broader market structure.

Staff told him it was the only Bitcoin payment the business had processed all month, adding that card payments are far more common for routine purchases. Market watchers point to a mix of structural and behavioral factors behind the decline.
