ME News said that on Aug. 5 (UTC+8), Chainalysis wrote on X that the Coldcard hack hit Canadian Bitcoin holders especially hard. Chainalysis' analysis of the attacker and victim set shows Canadian BTC holders made up 25% of losses attributed to the incident. Galaxy Research estimates put total losses as high as $110 million, and Chainalysis also mapped the hack's geographic footprint as the investigation continues.
