The Thai baht and gold climbed to near three-month highs as the dollar remained under pressure. A US Treasury bond buyback failed to ease market concerns over a widening national debt load and persistent fiscal deficits, keeping the greenback near multi-month lows. The baht touched a more than two-month high of 32.85 per US dollar on Monday, while spot gold rose to its strongest level since mid-May at US$4,346.36 an ounce.
