Scandium squeeze hits U.S. 5G chips; April 2025 curbs cut yttrium to 17t from 333t

After April 2025 controls, yttrium exports to the U.S. fell to 17 tons from 333 tons, and prices climbed about 60% since a November alert, with some manufacturers rationing.
