Bitcoin Long-Term Holders Spent 15.1M BTC in 2025, Still Below the 2021 Cycle Peak

On 14 March 2026, analysis showed that Bitcoin long-term holders spent about 15.1 million BTC in the 2025 cycle, less than the 15.3 million BTC recorded in 2021. Large internal transfers by Coinbase and growing holdings by spot ETFs and corporate treasuries are reshaping long-term holder metrics and may be dampening peak-cycle selling pressure.
