Trump Says U.S. and Allies to Deploy Warships to Hormuz Strait
Donald Trump said on Truth Social that the United States and several allied countries plan to deploy warships to the Strait of Hormuz to keep the waterway "open, safe, and free." He called on affected nations including China, France, Japan, South Korea and the UK to join the operation. Trump said Iran, which he described as "totally decapitated" (using a derogatory remark), could still threaten the corridor with drones or mines. The U.S. said operations will continue until shipping lanes are secure.
