Derivatives Markets Record $83.64M in Liquidations Over 24 Hours, Shorts Account for $65M

Global derivatives markets recorded $83.64 million in total liquidations over the past 24 hours, with short positions accounting for $65 million and long positions $18.64 million, Coinglass data show. Bitcoin saw $20.71 million in short liquidations and $2.29 million in longs, while Ethereum recorded $7.74 million in shorts and $1.60 million in longs. The 24-hour period saw 52,640 traders liquidated worldwide, with the largest single liquidation being an $8.5 million position on Hyperliquid's SOLUSD market.
