Crypto liquidations hit $653M in 24 hours, shorts exceed longs by $35M

Total crypto liquidations reached $653 million in the 24 hours ending March 1, with short positions accounting for $344 million and long positions $309 million, Coinglass data show. In the most recent 12-hour window, as prices rebounded following U.S. strikes against Iran achieving staged results, liquidations totaled $271 million—$221 million from shorts and $50.11 million from longs.
