Bitcoin Network Resilient to 72%-92% Submarine Cable Failures but Vulnerable to Targeted Routing Attacks, Cambridge Study Finds

Bitcoin nodes would remain largely connected even if 72% to 92% of global submarine communication cables failed simultaneously, according to a study by Cambridge University's Centre for Alternative Finance using 11 years of data. However, targeted disruptions affecting just 5% of critical routing infrastructure could significantly impact the network, the study adds.
