Bitcoin Exchange Reserves Drop to Record Low of 2.43–2.70 Million BTC as of March 10, 2026

Bitcoin reserves on centralized exchanges fell to a record low between 2.43 million and 2.70 million BTC as of March 10, 2026, down from over 3.20 million in 2023, CryptoQuant data show. Traders have increasingly withdrawn coins into private custody, reducing platform inventories and signaling stronger long-term holding preference. Miners have produced more than 20 million BTC of the fixed 21 million maximum supply, leaving around one million BTC to be mined over the coming decades. Bitcoin traded at approximately $70,600 after rising close to 45% in the past 24 hours on daily volume exceeding $50 billion, with the market attempting to reclaim key technical levels following weeks of consolidation.
