Micron flags self-driving cars and humanoid robots as next demand engines for memory chips by decade’s end
AI مارکیٹ کا خلاصہ
Micron's blowout Q4 results (EPS +1002% YoY; revenue +379%) reinforce AI-driven memory tightness and margin leverage. Management also highlighted "physical AI" (L4+ autonomous vehicles and humanoid robots) as a potential incremental, multi-year demand vector requiring materially higher memory/storage content. The commentary broadens the TAM narrative beyond data centers, supporting continued investor focus on secular DRAM/NAND demand catalysts.

Micron posted a strong fourth quarter, with earnings per share jumping 1,002% year over year to $33.42 and revenue rising 379% to $54.23 billion. CEO Sanjay Mehrotra said on the company’s earnings call that “physical AI,” particularly self-driving cars and humanoid robots, could significantly lift demand for memory and storage by the end of this decade. He added that level 4 and higher autonomous vehicles typically require more than 200 gigabytes of memory and multiple terabytes of storage.
