Godrej Properties’ Pirojsha Godrej says strong housing demand is opening a market-share window
AI مارکیٹ کا خلاصہ
India's largest listed residential developers reported sustained presales momentum in FY26 and raised FY27 combined booking targets, signaling resilient end-demand and potential share gains for branded players. Godrej Properties' weaker reported profit reflects project-completion revenue recognition rather than deteriorating bookings, while its expanded pipeline supports forward sales visibility. Overall, the news is constructive for India residential real estate equities but has limited cross-asset impact.

India’s four biggest listed developers—DLF, Godrej Properties, Prestige Estates and Lodha—recorded combined sales bookings of ₹1.05 trillion in FY26 and are targeting ₹1.19 trillion in FY27. Godrej Properties reported a 42% year-on-year drop in quarterly net profit to ₹350 crore as revenue recognition declined, even as presales remained strong. The company added three projects that it expects to deliver ₹9,500 crore in booking value, underscoring continued demand and a rising tilt toward larger branded builders.
