Dabur India shares fall 2.42% after FSSAI bars “100%” claims on multiple foods

AI مارکیٹ کا خلاصہ
India's food regulator FSSAI ordered Dabur India to halt sales of multiple products using unverifiable "100%" purity/natural/organic claims and demanded corrective action within 15 days. The stock fell ~2.4%, highlighting regulatory and reputational risk for consumer staples firms and tighter enforcement of advertising-claims rules. The development may pressure sector sentiment via higher compliance costs and potential product relabeling or withdrawals.

India’s food regulator FSSAI has barred Dabur India from selling several products carrying “100% Natural” and “100% Pure”-style claims it deemed misleading, including Dabur Hommade coconut milk. The move cites the FSS (Advertising & Claims) Regulations, 2018, which do not allow such claims for compound foods. Dabur India shares fell 2.42% to Rs 415.50 following the order. The company has been asked to submit an Action Taken Report within 15 days.
