Aemetis’ India subsidiary, Universal Biofuels, has received allocations to supply more than 18 million liters of biodiesel to India’s three state-owned oil marketing companies, a deal expected to generate about $17 million in revenue. The supply awards are tied to India’s National Policy on Biofuels, which targets raising biodiesel blending from 1% to 5% by 2030. Aemetis operates an 80 million gallon-per-year distilled biodiesel and refined glycerin plant on India’s east coast.
