Strategy purchased 3,015 BTC for approximately $204.1 million between Feb. 23 and March 1 at an average price of $67,700 per coin, according to an 8-K filing with the SEC. The company now holds 720,737 BTC worth roughly $47.5 billion at current prices against cumulative purchase costs of about $54.8 billion, reflecting unrealized losses of approximately $7.3 billion and representing over 3.4% of bitcoin's fixed 21 million supply. Strategy funded the acquisition primarily through at-the-market equity sales, selling 1,730,563 MSTR shares for about $229.9 million and issuing 71,590 STRC shares for roughly $7.1 million, while retaining $7.6 billion in MSTR and $3.5 billion in STRK shares available under its ATM facilities as of March 1. The firm also operates perpetual preferred stock programs in STRK, STRC, STRF and STRD with combined issuance capacity of $31.5 billion, supporting its "42/42" capital plan targeting $84 billion in equity and convertible notes through 2027 for ongoing bitcoin accumulation.
