Grab plans to lift driver and courier earnings from 2027 without raising passenger fares
Malaysia’s Prime Minister said in the Budget 2027 tabling that the government and Grab will jointly fund a RM160 million package to raise gig workers’ earnings and welfare, according to Bernama. Grab said it has reached an agreement in principle on a proposed minimum baseline rate for ehailing drivers and phailing delivery partners. The company plans to increase drivers’ and couriers’ income from 2027 without increasing passenger fares.

OpenAI’s annualised revenue was close to US$50 billion as of the end of September, about US$20 billion below the US$70 billion expectation previously conveyed to investors, the Financial Times reported. The gap stems from earlier figures counting gross revenue from partnerships with companies such as Nvidia. CNBC, citing a person familiar with the matter, said the previously reported US$68 billion figure used the same approach.

Wall Street rebounds as Brent slips 2.1% on hopes for Strait of Hormuz reopening
US stocks rebounded on Friday, ending a volatile week higher as oil prices fell.
