CryptoQuant: Bitcoin short-term holders flash the year's strongest capitulation signal
CryptoQuant reports that Bitcoin short-term holders are showing their most pronounced capitulation signal of the year. In the past 24 hours, 53,800 BTC were sent to exchanges at a loss, while profit-taking inflows fell to zero. The firm said this is the most extreme loss-driven exchange transfer event by short-term holders so far in 2026. CryptoQuant also noted that investors who accumulated BTC near recent highs around $80,000 have been moving coins to exchanges and selling into weakness rather than continuing to hold.
