Blackrock says Bitcoin’s role is evolving and suggests a 1%–2% allocation
Blackrock told financial advisors on June 23 that allocating roughly 1%–2% of a long-term portfolio to bitcoin could work as a “complementary diversifier.” The firm said that sizing may carry risk comparable to holding the “Magnificent Seven” megacap tech stocks, while warning that larger positions could materially raise overall volatility. Executives also noted the AI investment boom has drawn capital away from bitcoin, gold, and other alternatives over the past six months.
