SILVER, a derivatives contract tracking silver, recorded about $23.95M in liquidations across the market over nearly 4 hours on February 2, driven by sharp short-term moves in the spot silver price, HyperInsight and CoinGlass data show. The notional wiped out was second only to BTC and ETH over the same period, with 64% of positions liquidated being longs. Most forced closures occurred on the Hyperliquid platform, where a whale holding a short XYZ:SILVER position was liquidated for $4.13M in a brief window and another single long position over $1.6M was also liquidated.

Bitcoin surpassing $80,000 would correspond to an aggregate short liquidation intensity of $1.063B across major centralized exchanges on Feb. 2, Coinglass data show. A drop below $76,000 would be associated with a cumulative long liquidation intensity of $296M on these platforms. The liquidation heatmap does not represent the exact number of contracts to be liquidated or their precise value; instead, each bar reflects the relative importance of a liquidation cluster compared with nearby clusters, with higher bars indicating stronger potential market reactions if the price reaches those levels.

Trend Research deposited 30,000 ETH to Binance over five hours on Feb. 2 and completed selling and on-chain loan repayment, Onchain Lens data show. Over the past 18 hours, the entity sent a total of 40,000 ETH to the exchange and withdrew 6,412 ETH.

CrossCurve said on Feb. 2 its bridge was exploited through a smart contract vulnerability and urged users to halt activity pending investigation. A whale address known as "BTC OG" transferred 3,000 ETH worth approximately $7.05 million to Binance on Feb. 1, Onchain Lens data show. The deposit followed a 100,000 ETH transfer to the exchange roughly four hours earlier.

On February 1, the address labeled as ZEC's largest short (0xd475) closed part of its ETH short position by taking profit on 967.68 ETH worth roughly $3.11M, Hyperinsight data cited by BlockBeats show. The address retains about $53.55M in ETH short exposure with unrealized profit of around $18.43M. The same address previously built a large short position in ZEC that began at $184 and once showed a $21M unrealized loss before turning profitable.
