BingX USDⓢ-M Perpetual Futures is introducing the new separate cross margin mode, in addition to the existing isolated margin mode, cross margin mode, and separate isolated margin mode!
Separate cross margin mode opens positions independently by order, allowing multiple independent positions in the same direction, with each order forming its own position. Separate cross margin positions under the same margin asset share the margin, and PnL can offset across positions, helping you manage positions more flexibly and optimize risk control in scenarios such as rolling positions.

App: Upgrade to the latest version, 5.2.0
I. Advantages of Separate Cross Margin Mode
1. Independent Position Management
Each order creates a separate position, enabling you to close positions and set TP/SL individually for more precise management.
2. Shared Margin and PnL Offsetting
Separate cross margin positions under the same margin asset share margin, and PnL between positions can offset each other, effectively reducing liquidation risk.
3. Better Suited to Advanced Strategies Such as Rolling Positions
In scenarios such as rolling positions or running multiple strategies in parallel, you can manage overall margin and position risk while still setting TP/SL individually for each order, balancing capital efficiency with flexibility.
II. Differences Between Cross, Isolated, Separate Isolated, and Separate Cross Margin Modes
| Position Management | Margin Allocation | Liquidation Impact | |
| Cross Margin Mode | All orders in the same direction are grouped into one position, which is managed together. You cannot manage a single order separately. | All positions share the same margin in the USDⓢ-M Perpetual Futures Account. | Forced liquidation will result in the loss of the entire margin in the USDⓢ-M Perpetual Futures Account. |
| Isolated Margin Mode | All orders in the same direction are grouped into one position, which is managed together. You cannot manage a single order separately. | Each position is allocated its own margin (each market position has its own margin, but orders in the same direction are grouped into one position). | Forced liquidation will result in the loss of the entire margin under the grouped position. |
| Separate Isolated Margin Mode | Multiple separate positions can be opened in the same direction. Each position is managed separately, enabling you to close positions or set TP/SL individually. | Each order creates a separate position with its own allocated margin. | Forced liquidation will only result in the loss of the entire margin for that separate position. |
| Separate Cross Margin Mode | Multiple separate positions can be opened in the same direction. Each position is managed separately, enabling you to close positions or set TP/SL individually. | Each order creates an independent position, but separate cross positions under the same margin asset share margin, and PnL is offset between these positions. | Liquidation may result in the loss of all separate cross positions under that margin asset. |
III. How to Use Separate Cross Margin Mode
1. On the USDⓢ-M Perpetual Futures page, switch the margin mode to "Separate Cross".
2. Based on your trading strategy, you can create multiple independent positions in the same direction and manage each position independently, including closing individual positions and setting TP/SL.
3. When placing an order, the page will display the "Est. Liq. Price" to help you assess position risk more clearly.
IV. Notes
- Separate cross is not currently supported under multi-asset margin mode or one-way mode.
- Separate cross supports the following order types: market order, limit order, trigger order, trailing stop order, and post only.
- Copy trading is not currently supported in separate cross mode. If you have enabled separate mode, you cannot create copy order by per order for perpetual futures or lead trades as a trader. To use copy trading, disable separate mode or cancel the copy relationship first.
- If you have set up separate cross mode on another device, update your app to the latest version to get the full feature experience.
