💡 About market orders: Market orders can be submitted during all sessions. Market orders submitted during regular trading hours will be executed immediately at the best price. Market orders submitted during pre-market, after-hours, and overnight sessions
will be executed at the next regular trading hours, and the opening price may differ from the price at the time the order was submitted. Limit orders can execute during any session when liquidity is available
(excluding market closure periods).
2. Daylight Saving Time and Standard Time
The US observes daylight saving time and standard time, switching twice each year:
- Daylight Saving Time (DST): Second Sunday of March → First Sunday of November (clocks move forward by 1 hour).
- Standard Time (Winter Time): First Sunday of November → Second Sunday of March the following year.
- During standard time, the corresponding Beijing time is shifted one hour later.
Note: Market closure times: weekends and US public holidays.
3. Trading Notes for Each Session
Overnight/pre-market/after-hours:
- Lower liquidity: Fewer participants, and the bid-ask spread may be wider.
- Limit orders can execute immediately if counterparty liquidity is available.
- Market orders can be submitted but will be executed during regular trading hours (note potential opening price volatility).
- Higher price volatility: Major events (earnings reports, policy announcements) are usually released outside regular trading hours.
- Some assets with low liquidity may only be available for trading during market hours.
Regular trading hours:
- Highest liquidity and tightest spreads.
- Both market and limit orders can execute in real time.
