1) Getting Started with CFD Trading

Q1: What is USDx?Why does my account show USDx instead of USDT?

USDx is BingX CFD's internal pricing unit, exchanged 1:1 with USDT.USDT automatically converts to USDx on deposit and converts back on withdrawal, with no conversion loss.

Q2: What is the server name for connecting to BingX via MT5?

The server name is Bingmex-Live.When adding an account in the MT5 terminal, search for "Bingmex" to find it.

Q3: What should I do if I forget my MT5 password?

Go to the BingX app or website → CFD trading page → tap "Change Password" → complete security verification to reset it.After resetting, you need to log in again on the MT5 terminal.

Q4: What are the common reasons for MT5 login failure?

  • Wrong server selected (you must select Bingmex-Live)
  • Incorrect password entered (note the difference between the trading password and the read-only password)
  • Network issues (try switching between Wi-Fi and mobile data)
  • Account not yet activated (you need to open a CFD account on BingX first)

Q5: What are the two trading modes for BingX CFD?

BingX CFD offers two modes:

  • Zero fee mode (STP): No fees are charged, with costs reflected in a wider spread. The account suffix is .s, suitable for low-frequency or medium- to long-term traders.
  • Ultra-low spread mode (ECN): Extremely low spreads plus a fixed commission per lot, with no suffix. Requires a net asset value (NAV) of at least 3,000 USDx, suitable for high-frequency or scalping traders.

Q6: Which countries/regions cannot use BingX CFD?

Due to compliance restrictions, users in the following regions cannot use the service: Mainland China, Hong Kong, Japan, Singapore, South Korea, the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Australia, and European Union countries, among others. For the complete list, refer to the BingX CFD Business Compliance Regions announcement.

2) Trading Information and Rules

Q7: Which order types are supported?

  • Market order: Executes immediately at the current Best Ask or Best Bid price
  • Trigger price order: Set a trigger price in advance. Once the condition is met, the order executes at the Best Ask or Best Bid price
  • Stop loss (SL)/take profit (TP) order: Executes at the trigger price once reached, and can be added to a position with one tap

Q8: What leverage multiples are available?

Leverage varies by instrument category: up to 500x. For metals, stock indices, forex, commodities, and more, leverage depends on the risk level of each instrument.Check the specific leverage on each instrument's trading details page.

Q9: What are the trading hours?

CFD trading hours follow the global exchanges of the underlying assets:

  • Forex: Monday 10:02 – Saturday 10:00 (UTC+8), with a brief maintenance break of approximately 2 minutes daily
  • Metals: Monday 11:01 – Saturday 10:00 (UTC+8), with a brief market closure and maintenance break of approximately 1 hour daily
  • Stock indices: Based on each country's exchange opening hours
  • Commodities: Follow international futures market trading sessions

Markets are fully closed on weekends. Some instruments may close early or have shortened hours on holidays, and the platform will announce this in advance.

Q10: What is "reduce-only" mode?

Around holidays or during periods of insufficient liquidity, the platform may enable reduce-only mode for certain instruments — only closing positions is allowed, and opening new positions or adding to existing positions is not allowed, to protect users from abnormal slippage.

Q11: Why is the price shown in the order book different from the filled price?

BingX CFD uses an indicative liquidity mechanism: order book prices come from aggregated LP quotes and are for reference only. The actual filled price is based on the best available quote at the moment of execution, and slippage may occur during periods of sharp market volatility.

Q12: When will I receive a Margin Call notification?

When your account margin level falls to 100% or below, the system issues a Margin Call warning. We recommend adding margin immediately or reducing your position proactively.

Q13: When will my position be forcibly closed (Stop Out)?

A Stop Out is triggered when your margin level falls to 50% or below. The system closes orders one by one, prioritizing the order with the largest loss first, until the margin level recovers above 50%.

Q14: Is there negative balance protection?

Yes.If extreme market conditions cause your account balance to go negative, the system automatically resets it to zero, and you don't need to cover the excess loss.

3) Trading Fees and Costs

Q15: How are fees calculated for the two modes?

  • Zero fee mode: No fees are charged, and trading costs are fully reflected in the spread
  • Ultra-low spread mode: An extremely low spread plus a fixed commission per lot (the specific rate varies by instrument and can be viewed on the instrument details page)

Q16: How is margin calculated?

Formula: Required margin = contract size × lots × open price ÷ leverage

Example: For 1 lot of gold (100 oz) at a price of 4,000 USDx with 100x leverage → Required margin = 100 × 1 × 4,000 ÷ 100 = 4,000 USDx

Q17: What is tiered margin?

The larger your position size, the higher the margin ratio applied to the portion that exceeds the threshold. It works similarly to a progressive tax rate: your initial position enjoys the lowest margin ratio, and once you exceed a certain number of lots, more margin is required.

Q18: Does hedging (locked positions) offer any margin benefits?

Yes.When you hold both buy and sell positions in the same instrument at the same time, margin is calculated based on the larger side, not the sum of both sides, which can reduce your total margin usage. However, hedging does not fully eliminate margin requirements.
